Haul from VanityBox Makeup Artistry Store

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday ❤

A small cosmetics store known as VanityBox Makeup Artistry in La Puente, California, caught my eye, for they carried beauty products from brands I had not been able to get a hold of. The studio offers PRO discounts to qualified beauty professionals and is open to fellow makeup enthusiasts like myself. I visited VanityBox with my dear cousin and purchased a few things I had my eye on.

Even though the store is on the smaller size, there is a generous amount of prominent cosmetics brands to choose from. They have an entire wall dedicated to Morphe Brushes and eyeshadow palettes (yes! I got my 35O here!). I picked up the M158 – Angle Liner/Spoolie for my brows and the M441 – Pro Firm Blending Crease brush. I also picked up two pairs of false lashes from the cruelty-free brand Koko LashesThe first pair of lashes is in 104, which is on the more natural side, and the second pair in Queen B is rather dramatic. To my surprise, VanityBox had the new L.A. Girl Cosmetics foundation in stock during a time when it was sold out everywhere else. The last two products I purchased was the Pro Coverage HD Long wear Illuminating foundation in Natural and the Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Light Ivory from L.A. Girl Cosmetics.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts?

Sincerely, Ingrid Nicole

P.S. I post every Tuesday (well, I try too! lol).

New Year

2017-new-years-resolutions

Happy New Year, everyone! ❤

The year 2016 had very defining moments that allowed me to learn more about myself and the world I live in. My goals were to read more books from different genres, continue writing, and figure out my way in the kitchen. Among the chaos and tranquility in 2016, I managed to meet these goals and decide on a single resolution for the new year.

My resolution and motto for 2017 is “MAKE IT HAPPEN”.

I hope to be more productive this year and work towards improving this here blog. Procrastination is a habit we tend to mingle with, as it tends to root from self-doubt, but the motto “Make It Happen” is an empowering reminder of what to do in those situations. From here on out, Alive & Living posts will go live on Tuesdays each week. This year I am also including fashion related content and introducing my monthly picks of top bloggers. Stay tuned!

What are your 2017 New Year’s resolutions?

Sincerely, Ingrid Nicole

A Day In Los Angeles – August 2016

Hello everyone! Happy Friday ❤

I spent a lovely day in Los Angeles, California, last weekend and attended the Eight Annual Tanabata Festival. I enjoyed delicious food at this festival, visited the Japanese American National Museum, and strolled through the shops in Little Tokyo. The museum held an incredible exhibit on the artistry of the (stop-motion) film Kubo and the Two Strings, which is now in theaters, so I decided to share my day with you.
